Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian government approved a state support program today for development of information technologies (IT) sphere for year 2009.
As Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan stated at the session of the government today, they plan to allocate 250mln AMD from the means of the World Bank credit program on development of IT sphere.
According to him, 62.2mln AMD will be transferred to the account of Microsoft Armenia Company, aiming at acquiring licensed programs for state administration bodies. Within the framework of the state support program, the government will allocate 10mln AMD on publishing a manual on researching, analyzing, on indices and enterprises of IT sphere, Minister of Economy stated.
Nerses Yeritsyan stated that Armenia will continue participating in IT exhibitions and forums and organizing those.
