Russian President was present at the launch of WiMAX technologies in Armenia and “envied Armenian friends”

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian President Dmitri Medvedev stated that recently he was present at the launch of WiMAX technology in Armenia and “simply envied Armenian friends”.

Mediamax reports that the Russian President said this in an interview to “Novaya Gazeta”.

“I was recently present at the launch of WiMAX technologies in Armenia and simply envied our Armenian friends, since it is a small republic, and they immediately covered everything - absolutely everything. One can drive one’s car all over the territory of Armenia and watch TV. With the help of internet, the signal is received with high speed”, Dmitri Medvedev stated.

Mediamax notes that in fall, 2008, Armenian and Russian Presidents participated in the launch of the services of “Cornet-AM” provider - the subsidiary of Russian “Comstar” Company.
