VivaCell-MTS’s share in the market as to subscriber base increased to 79%

Yerevan /Mediamax/. The gains of “VivaCell-MTS” mobile connection operator in 2008 increased for 57bln 199.1mln AMD, making 78bln 478.2mln AMD.

Mediamax reports referring the financial and operating results of MTS, the net income of the company last year reduced for 1bln 802.3mln AMD, making 548.7mln AMD.

“VivaCell-MTS” Company’s share in the market as to the subscriber base in Armenia in the 4th quarter of 2008 increased from 69% to 79%, the level of penetration is preserved at the level of 80%.

In the 4th quarter of 2008, the subscriber base of VivaCell-MTS increased for 240 thousand subscribers and made 2mln 20 thousands.

The gains of the company in the 4th quarter of 2008 made 19 920,6mln AMD, having increased as compared to the analogous period of 2007 for 7.8%.

The net income of the company in the accounting period cut down as compared to the fourth quarter of 2007 for 94.1%, making 137.2mln AMD.

In the 4th quarter of 2008, the capital investments of MTS into fixed assets in Armenia made $20mln.

In the 4th quarter, MTS’s average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) in Armenia made 5047.1 AMD.
