Achieving self-development with Viva University

For the past nine years, Viva has implemented a “Viva University” educational program that teaches students the basic knowledge of business management, how to communicate with clients, understand their needs and expectations, and present a proposal, as well as how to communicate and build relationships in the workplace.

Students get professional expertise in various aspects of a telecommunications company's operations, as well as tools for presenting themselves in the job market and finding their position in the future. Students of the “Viva University” educational program get paid for their internship.

This group of 37 students were included in sales and customer support and learned about communication among colleagues, cross-functional relationships, and teamwork in Viva’s service centers both in the regions and in the capital. Program graduates became confident of how important experienced specialists’ support is. Their advice is precise and valuable: be customer-focused, understand customers’ needs, offer the best services and products, ensure customer satisfaction, and provide ongoing communication with the technology leader. Now they have completed the two-month “Viva University” educational program. The certificates they earned, which reflect their acquired knowledge and experience, will be advantageous when entering the job market.

“The path to success starts with quality education, experience, and strong communication skills. Throughout the program, you developed a clear understanding of the relations among employees and customers, employees and managers, and employees themselves, as well as how to maintain them at a high level. Viva has shared with you years of experience, value system, ability to offer necessary products and services, flexibility in using marketing tools, and effective communication skills. What you’ve gained here will help you better understand the job market, make you a highly sought-after specialist, and excel in your professional field. Strive for putting your knowledge into practice and retain the skills that years of experience have proven valuable,” Viva’s General Director Armen Avetisian noted.

Program graduates also took part in the training session “Towards the Job Market”, where they learned about the secrets of crafting a resume and preparing for interviews. Moreover, they successfully completed another assignment: conducting research on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Telecommunications” and presenting their findings.

In addition to its business activities – offering products and services – the leading telecommunications operator also takes responsibility for its country and society. Over the nine years of the program, 112 of the graduates found their places in Viva. The two-month training sessions were conducted thanks to Customer Support and Human Resources departments.
