Hovhannes Avoyan mentions the factors hindering IT development in Armenia

Hovhannes Avoyan, the founder and chief executive officer of PicsArt company, spoke about the factors that hinder the development of IT in Armenia.

“Despite the country’s tradition in IT, the availability of talent is the main obstacle. Second, it is the stability in the region, which makes it harder to convince people to invest in the country because there is still a risk of escalation,” Hovhannes Avoyan said in an interview to Fdiintelligence.

PicsArt founder also mentioned the appreciation of Armenian dram against dollar: “This is not really playing well for us and other start-ups.”
