Der Spiegel: “Angela Merkel is promoting Armenian educational strategy”

Der Spiegel writes that “German Chancellor Angela Merkel is promoting Armenian educational strategy as a model for German schoolchildren.”

As Itel.am reported previously, on June 17 Angela Merkel took a virtual tour of the TUMO Center in Berlin, which opened in 2020.



Der Spiegel notes that Chancellor Merkel has advocated opening of IT training centers for children and young people throughout Germany and called for cooperation from the German federal government, federal states, municipalities, and sponsors.

German Education Minister Anja Karliczek has stated that these institutions should spread “like a spider web” throughout Germany and work in MINT clusters.

Angela Merkel visited the TUMO Center in Yerevan in 2018.
