Rostelecom and “Kind Santa Claus” collect presents for kids in border villages

Around 300 children in border villages of Vayors Dzor marz will receive presents they asked for in the end of December due to the joint efforts of Rostelecom and “Kind Santa Claus” program.

Rostelecom joined the initiative and not only provided presents, but also organized collection of the presents in Yerevan at the company’s sale and customer service offices.

This year the initiative includes four border villages in Vayots Dzor: Khndzorut, Bardzruni, Sers and Martiros. All children of school age wrote letters to Santa Claus, which were posted on www.santaclaus.am. Anyone concerned could respond to the letters by sending the present the child asked for to “Kind Santa Claus” program. In the end of December, Santa Claus will personally deliver the presents to the children.

“Everyone waits for New Year miracles. We should use every opportunity to make them happen for children even in the most remote villages. We have contributed our resources to the initiative with the confidence that there is nothing more valuable and dear than the smiles of children,” said Rostelecom Armenia CEO Hayk Faramazyan.

It is still possible to join the initiative by leaving the presents for children at Rostelecom offices in Yerevan until December 26.

Rostelecom started cooperating with “Kind Santa Claus” in December of 2015, when the company gifted tablets to children in Voskepar and Baghanis border villages in Tavush marz in response to the kids’ letters. Rostelecom participated in the initiative in 2016 too, helping organize it and gifting books to the children.
