WCIT 2019: Armenian Tech Community announces startup contest winners

The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) 2019, held in Armenia for the first time in its40-year-long history, included blitz rounds of startup contest. The winners were awarded Armenian Tech Community Prizes.

Around 90 startups from Armenia and other countries applied for the contest. Fifteen best startups competed over the three days of WCIT 2019, and the winners were announced on October 9, during the closing ceremony of the congress.

The prize fund of the contest made USD 105,000 in total. The winners are as follows:

Krisp – USD 25,000

ForgeFiction - USD 25,000

Embry Tech - USD 25,000

Vicinity - USD 10,000

GeBe Cert - USD 10,000

Virtlo - USD 10,000.
