On October 27-28 the Gyumri Technology Center held Startup Bootcamp, which had 31 participating teams.
The event was organized by “Support to SME Development in Armenia” (SMEDA) project in the framework of “EU4Business Science and Technology Entrepreneurship” (EU4Business STEP) grant programme.
The bootcamp was aimed at preparing the startups for the final stage of EU4Business STEP program on November 21-22. The selected teams will receive grant between 6,000 EUR and 15,000 EUR, which will be provided with project duration of 6 months. Each company should provide co-financing in the amount of 15%.
Director of MIC Armenia Artashes Vadanyan, mentor Chus Lozano, Business Development Manager of ISTC Areg Gevorgyan and Operations Manager of EPIC Aram Keryan have worked with selected teams on topics like idea validation, business model development and pitching.
SMEDA is part of the EU4Business and EU4Innovation initiatives of the European Union.
The project is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ’s Private Sector Development in South Caucasus Programme. EU4Business STEP is realized in cooperation with Enterprise Incubator Foundation.
