Organizers of the national stage of World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Armenia, hosted by Ayb School, announced the winners on September 15.
12 teams from Yerevan and marzes took part in the contest. The winner will represent Armenia in the global stage of the competition, set to take place in Thailand in November, after confirmation by the international jury.
The winning team was Arm Cyber Kids, comprised of Ines and Ashot Gasparyan. The jury awarded two other teams as well: Whiz Kids and “Dukhov” (“be bold”).
“As a technological company, Rostelecom values to these events because they focus the children’s attention of robotics and other relevant fields that are in high demand now. The winners of the national stage will be able to compete in international tournaments, which will provide them with new experience and knowledge,” said Rostelecom Armenia CEO Hayk Faramazyan.
The official organizer of the national stage is Ayb Education Foundation, and the sponsor this year was Rostelecom.
