VivaCell-MTS informed that it is beyond the company’s competence to set or change the methods and rates of payment for parking spot via SMS.
“For that reason the company hasn’t come forward with a statement regarding that issue.
The commission fee rates for VivaCell-MTS remain the same on the basis of the corresponding agreement.
As a telecommunication service provider, VivaCell-MTS (among others) performs the solely technical aspect of transferring non-cash parking spot payments,” the company stated.
It’s worth reminding that the Yerevan Municipality announced recently that rates for parking spot payments via SMS will increase from August 1. The SMS for one-hour parking will cost AMD 149 instead of the previous AMD 100 and the rate for one-day parking SMS will rise from AMD 500 to AMD 748.
