The Second International Conference of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Armenia started today in Yerevan with the support of telecommunications operator VivaCell-MTS.
The two-day high-level conference brought together about 170 specialists in audit, finances and state government from Armenia and abroad (Netherlands, Romania, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, UAE).
According to Ara Chalabyan, President of IIA Armenia and Chief Audit Executive of the Central Bank of Armenia, the aim of the conference is to bring professional community together to discuss and share their own innovative ideas and solutions as well as to create new ties.
VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian noted that internal audit is the early detection and prevention of health risks and illnesses of different systems, and it also helps the organization to take relevant measures to overcome them.
“For organizations, operating in modern business environment, internal audit is a necessary strategic instrument to win by gaining and retaining competitive advantage,” noted VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
