VivaCell-MTS supports heating of Jujevan community

In the frames of Alternative Energy program, The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets and its General Partner VivaCell-MTS summed up another project in Tavush region.

Bordering Jujevan community administrative building that includes municipality, kindergarten and aid station of community, has been provided with a heating system equipped with solar water heaters.

The event was attended by VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian, founder of FPWC Ruben Khachatryan, head of Berdavan community Zhora Chilingaryan, and the community residents.

“The launch of the solar heating and hot water systems in the borderland villages is not only an efficient solution for reducing the heating expenses. Equally important is that every such project helps saving many trees from being cut for firewood. It is also a unique environmental campaign teaching local residents, including kids, why and by what means they should and can take care of the nature,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said.

Having a population of 600, Jujevan administrative building had not been properly heated for more than 25 years. Instead, inefficient and costly ways of heating were used. The heating system that has both gas boiler and solar water heaters is an optimal energy efficient and environmental solution to the heating problem of the building. This system will reduce heating costs by 50-60% in winter and water costs during the whole year. The heating system of the kindergarten will be used only in winter at night time, in order to protect the system from getting damaged by the cold.
