Business Innovation Forum opens in Dilijan

Dilijan has today hosted 2-year Business Innovation Forum which titled  “Armenia 20.18-2018: Armenia among 20 Most Innovative Countries”.

Armenian Vice Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan has said that the state’s goal is to propose projects and strategies boosting IT but entrepreneurs should also be active and invest in the development of the field.

“Armenia is the 61st on Global Innovation Index. The ranking is made up of 79 various indicators which are grouped in 7 areas. We are better off in terms of knowledge and technology production and are worse in human capital and scientific and research fields”, UITE Deputy Director Hayk Chobanyan said.

The keynote speaker of the forum was Executive Director of Entrepreneurship Portal of StarTau University, Israel.

“Formerly, Israel ranked lower on innovative countries’ ranking. But now Israel is the second most favorable environment for startups after the Silicon Valley”, said the Israeli entrepreneur urging not to be afraid of failures.
