Rostelecom to cooperate with Abovyan Mayor’s Office

Rostelecom as represented by GNC-Alfa CJSC in Armenia has today signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with Abovyan community.

Rostelecom has noted that the memorandum is aimed at developing the infrastructures of the urban community, ensuring the environment protection and enhancing living standards in Abovyan town.

In particular, Rostelecom will renovate and provide with Wi Fi the public parks in the town. The cooperation for the sake of ensuring prosperity of the community’s people is going to be expanded.

Rostelecom has recalled that since 2014, they have provided free internet to 7 primary schools, arts, music and chess schools, sports and cultural center, the public library, the creative junior center, adjacent areas of Saint Hovhannes Mkrtich Church and the company’s offices.

Newly appointed Mayor of Abovyan Vahagn Gevorgyan has noted that he attaches considerable importance to the cooperation with the private sector and the involvement of the companies in the development of communities will dramatically contribute to development of infrastructures.

Rostelecom Armenia CEO Hayk Faramazyan has said that the head office of Rostelecom is located in Rostelecom and such works create beneficial conditions for the company as well.

Rostelecom is implementing such projects in cooperation with Yerevan, Kapan, Vanadzor and Dilijan Mayor’s Offices as well.
