Orange reports positive results after 1 month of MNP launch

Orange Armenia reported quite positive results after the launch of mobile number portablity service (MNP) in Armenia.

Orange Armenia CEO Francis Gelibter said this today summing up the results of April.

According to him, as of April 30, the company received 3307 applications on shifting to Orange network and 2575 subscribers really changed to the network. 846 subscribers moved from Orange to other networks.

‘’The service operates very well without any technical issues’’, said Francis Gelibter.

He also said that as of May 18, Orange received 4447 applications on shifting to its network. The number of actual subscribers who moved to Orange network will be published later. There were 1500 applications on moving from Orange to other networks.

"We welcome the fact that 2 other Armenian operators also launched public awareness campaign on MNP. It will enhance the level of awareness on the service among the subscribers’’, said Orange Armenia CEO.

3 winners of ‘’Hurry up to be Orange’’ offer were awarded iPhone 5C by the company. The company’s offer started on March 11. Subscribers should have registered on www.1qayl.am special sites and moved their numbers of Orange network.
