Earth Day campaign kicks off in Armenia owing to VivaCell-MTS support

April 22 is worldwide celebrated as Earth Day. Like many organizations all over the world the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) jointly with its General Partner VivaCell-MTS also will mark this important day with a broad range of environmental activities in Yerevan and the regions.

The Earth Day Campaign 2014 kicked off in Yerevan Zoo with a tree-planting event and a contest dedicated to the International Day of Birds.

For the contest under the title “Welcome the Birds” participants were to make build the best bird nests and it gave them a chance to develop their knowledge about birds, their physiological structure, behavior, living conditions and peculiarities.

The most active and creative participants were awarded with prizes given by Yerevan Zoo, FPWC, LEGO representative of Armenia. They also received a special prize donated by VivaCell- MTS.
