TUMO Center for Creative Technologies welcomed Twitter's Vice President of Engineering Raffi Krikorian as the newest member of its Board of Advisors.
Raffi Krikorian brings over a decade of cutting-edge technological experience and passion for education to the Tumo leadership team.
As head of Twitter's Engineering Platform, Krikorian led the integration of the company's service with Apple's iOS mobile system and helped build their Geolocation application program. He manages over five different teams at Twitter and is responsible for the social network's software infrastructure.
Before joining Twitter, Krikorian co-founded WattzOn.com, a startup named the Best Idea of 2008 by Business Week. He has taught at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program and is the author of the O'Reilly Media book TiVo Hacks and a former member of the MIT Media Bits and Atoms group.
In the spring of 2014, Krikorian will lead an advanced computer programming workshop at Tumo and help augment Tumo's computer programming curriculum.
