MTS to offer TV packages to broadband internet providers in Armenia

MTS started working out special TV packages which the operator may offer to broadband internet providers in Russian regions as well as in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine.

The press release of "MTS" OJSC  reads this, Mediamax reports.

MTS currently provides services to 3mln customers of paid TV, 2mln subscribers of broadband internet and 1mln customers of mobile TV. In its paid TV networks, MTS broadcasts 150 news, entertainment, informative, sports and HD TV channels.

"Over past several years, MTS set up a unique infrastructure for providing quality and reliable services and accumulated TV content which is highly popular among our customers. Modern networks of data transfer and accumulated expertise of cooperation with rightholders allow us not only cater to the demand for TV services within mobile and landline technologies but enable MTS to enter B2B market - to offer TV content to regional providers which will be able to broadcast MTS TV in their networks", said TV and Landline Business Development Director of MTS Dmitry Baghdasaryan.

In 2013, MTS started works on establishing hybrid TV platform which technologically combines broadcasting in 3 screens - TV, mobile devices and computers.
