Three-day Technical School sessions for students at VivaCell-MTS

Yerevan/Mediamax/. December 5 through 7 VivaCell-MTS’ Headquarters hosted 27 students from Yerevan and the regions who attended three-day training sessions on the radio access network and switching subsystem as well as site implementation and maintenance.

The first day session of the Technical school was devoted to the Radio Access Network and Switching Subsystem. The students learnt about the historical background of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) and RAN (Radio Access Network), as well as about HLR (Home Location Register) and MSC (Mobile Switching Center).

The next two days’ sessions were devoted to site implementation and maintenance. The students had the chance to learn all the details about the site structure, visit the site in the VivaCell-MTS HQ, as well as had a field trip to the nearest base station to see how the sites are maintained.

At the end of the school the students received certificates of completion.

The Technical School sessions were organized in the frames of VivaCell-MTS’ Career Development Program.
