VivaCell-MTS is the general sponsor of the 2nd Web Apricot Online Film Festival

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The 2nd “Web Apricot” Panarmenian Online Film Festival will be launched on November 20. VivaCell-MTS is the general sponsor of the Festival.

“It’s the second time that VivaCell-MTS supports “Web Apricot” Panarmenian Online Film Festival, an important cultural event, where the next generation of Armenian filmmakers is being identified by the society. This unique combination of web technology and cinematographic art, gives less known amateur filmmakers an opportunity to present their films to a wider audience without significant financial investment and without crossing borders, provides an opportunity to unfold their talent, become famous and attract public attention, as well as film-producers’ interest to their works. As a Friend of Culture, also committed to supporting the youth in its cultural endeavors, VivaCell-MTS wishes a lot of success to our young filmmakers in realization of their projects”, said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.

The winners of the 1st and 2nd prizes will be awarded with an amount equivalent of USD 300 and a special diploma, the winners of the incentive award will receive an amount equivalent of USD 100 and a diploma. The most viewed movie will be awarded with a “Sympathy” prize and a special diploma.

The winners of the 2nd “Web Apricot” Panarmenian Online Film Festival will be announced in the period from December 20 till 25, 2012 during the special award ceremony. The results will be summarized by the professional jury.

All the films presented to the Festival will be shown exclusively on www.webtv.am Internet TV. All directors living in Armenia and abroad can present their 20-minute films with no genre or format limitation.

The films must be submitted in DVD format to the “Golden Apricot” International Film Festival office, during from November 13 till December 10.
