Armenians take top places at Batumi Extreme Fest 2012

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Armenian sportsmen, who took top places in the second International Batumi Extreme Fest 2012, received prizes from “ArmenTel” (Beeline trademark) and “Adrenaline” Armenian Extreme Sports Association”.

The festival was held in Batumi on August 23-26, 2012. The Armenian sportsmen took the second place in team rafting. Armenians also took the second place in Jeep-Trial: David Movsisyan and Vilen Vardanyan Standard class and Artashes Stepanyan and Artur Harutyunyan in Extreme class, “ArmenTel” reported.

“ArmenTel began supporting extreme sports quite recently but from the very beginning we have set the goal to raise the image and the popularity of extreme sports not only among the Armenian youth but we also wanted to bring the country to international professional arena. Today’s success is obvious. On behalf of “ArmenTel” I would like to congratulate the winners and wish them new achievements in their sport career, new records and never-ending will to win,” “ArmenTel” spokeswoman Anush Begloyan said.

The Armenian sportsmen participated in the second international Batumi Extreme Fest 2012 with the assistance of ArmenTel, Converse Bank and “Adrenalin” Extreme Sports Association. The organizer was the Georgian Extreme Sports Association – Geoextreme. Teams from Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and other countries took part in the event. Armenians participated in the following nominations: Jeep-trial in Standard, Monster and Extreme classes, as well as in motocross and rafting.
