VivaCell-MTS established computer labs and Wi-Fi corners in two regional universities

Yerevan/Mediamax/. VivaCell-MTS established computer labs and Wi-Fi corners in Gavar State University and in the State Pedagogical Institute of Vardenis.

The newly-established computer lab of Gavar State University comprises 20 computers having internet access, a laser printer, a 3G router with «Home-Zone Turbo» package, switches and a Wi-Fi corner. Earlier VivaCell-MTS helped Gavar State University with connecting two campuses with the headquarter via fiber optics and UTP cables. Network infrastructure was created in order to ensure effective remote work.

VivaCell-MTS provided respective equipment to the State Pedagogical Institute of Vardenis. Here, in addition to the lab with 5 computers connected to the internet, there will be full Internet access in the library also. The set of equipment provided to the Pedagogical University of Vardenis also includes a laser-printer, a 3G router with Home-Zone Turbo package, as well as switches.

“In the information era education is a necessary prerequisite to the development of the country. The continuity of the educational process presupposes satisfying and reliable infrastructure, as well as supportive working and social environments. VivaCell-MTS attributes importance to raising the efficiency and standards of education in Armenia. This project is just another important area of cooperation with higher educational institutions,” noted VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.

By the end of this year Armenia’s leading telecommunications operator plans equipping computer labs in 29 universities that cooperate with the Company.
