ArmenTel starts works on digitization of Vedi and neighboring villages

Yerevan/Mediamax/.  ArmenTel (Beeline trademark) started works on digitization of phone exchange and digital lines of the town of Vedi and Goravan and Vanashen villages.

The works are scheduled to finish in the first half of 2012 which will allow providing all the residents of the town and neighboring villages with high-quality services of digital fixed network and broadband internet, the company reported.

“We keep intensively working on improving our infrastructure making all the most up-to-date communication services available to our subscribers in Armenia”, noted ArmenTel CEO Igor Klimko.

As of May 2012, 83% of subscribers of ArmenTel fixed network across Armenia were connected to the digital phone stations. The overall length of cables of the company’s network exceeds 13 000km and the length of fiber-optic network exceeds 2770km.
