Orange doesn’t plan to launch 4G this year

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Orange Armenia doesn’t plan to launch 4G network this year, the company’s CEO told Mediamax.

“We have great potential of 3G+ technology which allows our clients to have internet at the speed of 42Mbps”, said Bruno Duthoit.

VivaCell-MTS announced the commercial launch of 4G/LTE network in the Yerevan center in late 2011.

Bruno Duthoit said that the number of Orange Armenia subscribers has increased by 30 000 since early 2012 and it currently makes 630 000. 13% of them (about 80 000) are internet subscribers and the 87% (about 550 thousand) – voice services subscribers.
