Green School project\'s Winter Camp sums up the work

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Today the Writers House in Tsakhkadzor town hosted an event, during which the results of the Winter Camp of the Green School project were concluded. The project was implemented by the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC).

During the event students from 5 participating schools presented the skills they acquired during the previous five days spent in the Winter Camp, and also demonstrated how to use them in practice. The students introduced the project through five pavilions-information, garbage art, environment, dance and photo.

The Winter Camp is a major component of Green School project that involves 30 most active students from participating schools. It was launched on February 25 and finished on March 2.

In Armenia the project is implemented by the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets with the support of UNICEF and Swiss Embassy. The main partner of the Foundation, Armenia’s Leading Telecommunications Operator VivaCell-MTS helped implement this project.

Protection and maintenance of biodiversity of Armenia is one of the causes to which VivaCell-MTS is committed as a corporate citizen. Organization of environmental education campaigns aimed at behavior change of the youth from early age is one of the most effective means of environmental protection. This is the reason why VivaCell-MTS is providing ongoing support to the environmental events organized by FPWC.
