Ucom and Netsys merge to promote hosting services

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The main goal of merging of Ucom and Netsys internet providers is to promote hosting services, Ucom Director Hayk Yesayan said today.

Mediamax reports that speaking at a joint press conference with Director of Netsys Gevorg Gevorgyan in Yerevan today, Hayk Yesayan said that Netsys has 11-year experience in providing qualitative hosting services and the company gained the respect of many corporate clients, whereas Ucom has serious server capacities and is going to promote hosting services.

“Ucom intends to create favorable conditions to make the owners of Armenian web-resources be interested in placing them in Armenia,” Hayk Yesayan said.

According to Gevorg Gevorgyan, the deal was also profitable for Netsys, as in the process of provision of services the company was resolving the issue of the “last mile” through ArmenTel’s DSL-network “which doesn’t meet the clients’ requirements either”.

The companies will merge under Ucom brand. According to Hayk Yesayan, the deal and the process of integration of companies’ technical capacities will last about 6 months. Until that Netsys will continue to operate as a separate company.
