Armenian Computer Game Open Championship to take place on June 22-26, given support of Beeline

ArmenTel (Beeline trademark) and National Professional Cybersport League announced realization of the fifth Armenian National Computer Game Open Championship on June 22-26.

The contest also represents the qualifying round of the biggest championship on computer and video games World Cyber Games (WCG).

The regulations of the contest provide for holding a qualifying round in each of the countries, which want to participate in the international championship. The national qualifying round of the Armenian championship will take place in “Congress Hotel” in Yerevan on June 22-26, 2011.

This year, the official game disciplines are FIFA 2011 and StartCraft 2, and the unofficial ones – Counter-Strike 1.6 and WarCraft 3 Dota. The winners in official game disciplines this year will compete at the International Tournament of World Cyber Games on December 8-11 in Busan, Korea.

The general prize fund of the Armenian national stage makes AMD 3 600 000 and will be distributed among the winners of the first three positions in all four game nominations.

This year, the qualifying round will be of a bigger scale and besides the main game disciplines, contests will also be held in the following nominations: “Amateur Artist”, “Amateur Photographer” and Touch Typing contest for females on the speed of typing texts on the computer.
