Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister’s award for IT managers has been instituted upon the initiative of Synopsis Armenia Company.
As Synopsis Armenia Executive Director Hovik Musayelyan said today, the goal of the award is to further the professional development of managers representing IT-companies.
Manages of IT companies in the age of up to 40 years can take part in the contest, and the number of these companies’ employees should not exceed 50.
Best 3 managers will be allowed to take courses in Stanford Executive Institute this August, which will annually allocate 3 places for Armenian specialists.
“Armenia is one of those rare countries where the award is held this way: upon the initiative of the private sector and with the assistance of the country’s government. This contest will partially resolve a vital problem - retraining of managers of IT companies,” Hovik Musayelyan said.
General sponsor of the award is VivaCell-MTS Company, which is going to allocate AMD 19mln to finance the education of 3 managers. “Effective management- is a key factor ensuring the development of our country and we have to assist this vital initiative,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian stated.
