Facebook SMS-notifications available for Beeline subscribers

Yerevan/Mediamax/. “ArmenTel” (Beeline brand) announces the launch of SMS notification in Facebook network.

The service allows Beeline mobile connection subscribers receiving SMS notifications on new publications on their “wall”, comments to posts or photos, as well as allows writing a status, responding to requests, etc, by means of SMS.

“Following most advanced world tendencies of e-communications, we are the first in Armenia to launch a new service of communication in social networks. Due to the new service, our subscribers can be in contact with friends, share their mood and follow news wherever they are”, General Director of “ArmenTel” CJSC Igor Klimko stated.

Subscribers of Beeline mobile connection can receive SMS notifications from Facebook free of charge without a subscriber fee, without payment for connection and receiving SMS.

The cost of the outgoing SMS on Facebook (for writing a status, responding to comments, etc) in the course of the promo-period (till June 1, 2011), will make 5 AMD, and further on – 9 AMD, irrespective of the subscriber’s tariff plan.

In order to use the free of charge SMS notifications, Beeline subscribers of Facebook network should register their telephone number at the Facebook profile editing page in “Mobile Version” section, or send an SMS with the text “FB” (without quotation marks) to 32665 number. The subscriber will receive a responding message with the activation code, which should be indicated in the corresponding field on Facebook page. At the Profile Editing page in “Notifications” section, the user independently chooses one or a few parameters, according to which they want to receive SMS notifications. The time of the day to receive notifications can also be adjusted.
