Yerevan/Mediamax/. MTS mobile connection operator will launch sales of Glonass 945 smartphone in April. Head of “Sistema” FSC Vladimir Yevtushenkov compared this smartphone to iPhone 4 at the meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

Mediamax reports referring “Kommersant” newspaper that MTS Glonass 945 will be supporting two navigation systems: GLONASS and GPS. MTS assures that the main advantage of the device is that due to simultaneous support for two navigation systems, more distinct positioning of the subscriber is provided for.

Cost of the device will make about 11 thousand RR.

“EuroNet” President Alexander Malis assumes that with such a price, the device does not have brilliant prospects: “Not many people are going to pay more only for GLONASS option, since half of the phones have GPS-navigators. And the matter is not different exactness of positioning: this is not aiming of a warhead. People walk in the streets with GPS and do not get lost”, he stated. According to Malis, in order for the phone to sell, they need a huge marketing support.
