“ArmenTel” sponsors jubilee events, devoted to the 2150th anniversary of Armenian King Tigranes the Great

Yerevan/Mediamax/. “ArmenTel” Company (Beeline trademark) is the sponsor of the exhibition of famous Armenian painters’ works. It is devoted to the 2150th anniversary of Armenian King Tigranes the Great’s birthday.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of the company that the exhibition launched on December 1, 2010, in the National Picture Gallery of Armenia, and became the first event from the series of events, dated to the jubilee of the great Armenian ruler. Besides art works, exhibits, revealed by archeologists during excavations in Tigranakert, will also be presented at the exhibition. Following the results of the exhibition, a catalogue will be published, which, besides reproductions, will also include scientific-popular articles, documents about the life and activity of King Tigranes the Great in Armenian, Russian and English languages.

“I believe that today it is very important to preserve the memory about the great Armenian King, maintain succession of national traditions. We are always happy to support such projects, since assistance to passing cultural heritage of the Armenian people occupies an important place in social projects of “ArmenTel” Company”, General Director of the company Igor Klimko stated on the occasion of the exhibition launch.

Organizers of the exhibition are Ararat Patriarch's Diocese, Union of Armenian Painters of the World, National Gallery of Armenia, Armenian History Museum and Armenian National Center for Aesthetics. The series of events, dated to the 2150th jubilee of the Armenian King, will include a documentary about Tigranes the Great, and will be completed by an exhibition of works of young painters in Armenian National Center of Aesthetics.
