Number of “ArmenTel” broadband internet subscribers increased over twofold

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The net operational proceeds of “ArmenTel” (Beeline trademark) in the first quarter, 2010, made 16bln 016mln AMD.

Mediamax reports referring to financial and operational results of “VimpelCom Ltd.” that the net operating proceeds of “ArmenTel” in the accounting period reduced by 6.2%, as compared to the same period of 2009, and by 12%, as compared to the IV quarter of 2009.

Net operating proceeds of “ArmenTel” from mobile business reduced by 16% in the first quarter, as compared to the analogous period of last year, making 5.787bln AMD. The operating proceeds from landline connection increased by 0.5%, as compared to the first quarter, 2009, and made 10.229bln AMD.

Subscriber base of Beeline in Armenia increased by 14.1%, as compared to the first quarter of 2009, making 549 thousands. As compared to the IV quarter, 2009, the subscriber base of the operator increased by 0.7%.

The number of Beeline broadband internet subscribers in Armenia in the first quarter made 31.2 thousands, having increased by 103.9%, or for 15.9 thousands, as compared to the analogous period. As compared to the IV quarter, 2009, the number of broadband internet users of the operator increased by 19.1% or for 5 thousands.

Beeline’s average monthly revenue per user in Armenia (ARPU) made 3478 in the first quarter, having reduced by 24%, as compared to the analogous period of 2009. As compared to the IV quarter, 2009, ARPU index reduced by 21.5%.

MOU index (the number of minutes used per subscriber per month) increased in the first quarter by 97.8%, as compared to the analogous period last year, and made 345.6 minutes.
