Armenian President met with the group, working over creation of a multilingual online translator

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsian met with the workgroup, working over creation of a multilingual online translator in cooperation with the Ministry of Diaspora, in Yerevan today.

Mediamax was informed in the presidential press service that the program supports text translation from Western Armenian to Eastern Armenian and vice versa, as well as to English and vice versa.

Head of the group, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor Eduard Manukyan presented the program to the President. He also presented the prospects for its broadening and improvement. He stated that about 1300 visitors use the website a day, and the majority of them are Diaspora representatives.

During the talk, the sides discussed the opportunities of involving professional linguists from Armenia and the Diaspora in the work, as well as the possibility of holding a conference to improve the program.
