“Ayb” foundation presented “Armenian School” project to businessmen

Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Ayb” Educational Foundation held a roundtable on “Armenian School” with entrepreneurs in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that Executive Director of the Foundation David Sahakyan noted that within the framework of these discussions, they plan to involve the public in realization of “Ayb Learning Hub” project.

David Sahakyan stressed that “Ayb” Learning Hub will be located in the territory with the area of 6.5 hectares, adjacent to Tbilisi highway. He noted that the project aims at founding the “Armenian School”, which would become a model of secondary education establishment and a model for the educational system in general.

“Ayb” Executive Director informed that 810 students will be given the opportunity to study at the school. They will be selected as a result of a contest. He noted that this will be a paid school; however, if the student’s family is unable to pay for tuition, the foundation will deal with search of a sponsor. David Sahakyan stated that “we intend to build the Armenian School, the alumni of which will be able to continue their education not only in the best higher educational institutions in Armenia, but also the world”.

Executive Director of the foundation informed that, according to preliminary estimations, $45-50mln will be necessary to build the “Armenian School”. At that he stressed that the state has expressed readiness to provide 10% of this project’s funding.
