PSRC hopes interconnection agreements will soon be signed among fixed connection operators

Yerevan /Mediamax/. First agreements on interconnection among fixed connection operators may be signed by the end of the year.

Mediamax reports that the Head of Telecommunication Department of the Public Services Regulatory Committee (PSRC) Gevorg Gevorgyan said this today.

“Reaching agreements on interconnection among fixed connection operators is at its final stage and they only need to solve a number of issues, related to price formation”, Gevorg Gevorgyan stated.

It is expected that a few companies will start rendering fixed landline telephone connection services in the Armenian market with the use of various technologies in the nearest future. At present, only “ArmenTel” Company provides services of fixed (landline) connection in Armenia.
