Ian Gillan considers the opportunity of a joint concert with Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Vocalist of Deep Purple band Ian Gillan considers the opportunity of a joint concert with Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Director of Mediamax News Agency Ara Tadevosyan presented this statement by Ian Gillan’s Manager Phil Banfield today.

“Despite the busy schedule of Ian Gillan and Deep Purple, we are currently looking at the possibility of Ian performing his orchestral concert in Armenia. When Ian meets President Sargsyan in October he is hoping to be able to announce the date when he will be able to perform in Armenia”, statement by Phil Banfield reads.

Ian Gillan, guitarist of Black Sabbath Tony Iommi, keyboard player of “Asia” Geoff Downes will arrive in Yerevan in early October within the framework of “Armenia Grateful 2 Rock” project, where they will be awarded Orders of Honor.

Negotiations about visiting Yerevan continue with guitarist of “Queen” Brian May and leader of “Pink Floyd” David Gilmour, who are also awarded Orders of Honor of the Republic of Armenia.

“Armenia Grateful 2 Rock” is jointly realized by Mediamax News Agency and Australian “Do Something” Organization, supported by Armenian President’s Administration. General sponsor of the project is “ArmRosGazprom” Company, which occupies the 1st place in the list of top taxpayers in Armenia. Armenia Marriott Hotel is the project’s partner.
