PSRC continues studying the opportunity of MNP implementation in Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Excessive hurry in implementation of mobile number portability service (MNP) in Armenia may lead to a reverse effect and harm market development.

Member of Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia Samvel Arabajyan said this in an interview to Mediamax. He noted that at present PSRC carries out works on assessing the technical capacities, the required investments, studies foreign practice of running a single register of phone numbers.

According to Samvel Arabajyan, there are many issues, which do not allow implementing MNP service in a short period of time and require realization of complex measures in the economic, technical and legal fields.
