Presentation of educational award after the Armenian President in the sphere of IT will take place in September, 2009

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Presentation of an educational award after the Armenian President to students and pupils in the sphere of information technologies will take place in September, 2009.

As the Executive Director of “Synopsys-Armenia” Company Hovik Musaelyan stated today, this will be the fifth year that the awarding is taking place.

Yerevan State Engineering University, Yerevan State University, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, European Regional Academy, American University of Armenia, as well as 6 schools of physics and mathematics will participate in the competition.

In 2009, the following nominations are provided for: the Grand Prix ($1200), best postgraduate student (I and II degrees), best undergraduate student (I and II degrees), best bachelor (I and II degrees), best student and best pupil.

Students and pupils, who present their higher educational institution or school, will be interviewed by the members of the competition commission and will be asked questions from the spheres of art, culture, politics, economics, IT, etc. During the interview, the participant of the competition will have to also write an essay on the topic suggested. One hour will be given to the participant for that. 

“Our task is to reveal an all-comprehensively developed and intellectual student or a pupil”, Hovik Musaelyan stated.

The list of documents, needed for participation in the competition, and to be presented by July 10, will be posted in all the above-mentioned higher educational institutions and schools.
