Despite the crisis, “VivaCell-MTS” will not cut investments and jobs

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Despite the crisis, “VivaCell-MTS” will not cut programs and investments in telecommunication sphere.

Mediamax reports that General Manager of the Company Ralph Yirikian said this today, speaking at a news conference, devoted to the launch of www.Itel.am internet project.

Ralph Yirikian refuted the rumors on abrupt reduction of volumes of tax payments by the Company. He noted that the company punctiliously realizes its tax commitments; however one will be able to talk about the volumes only after summing up the results of the first quarter of 2009.

Head of “VivaCell-MTS” also noted that the Company does not plan for reduction of the number of employees and the salaries. According to him, in case the economic situation becomes worse, “we will have a more careful approach to our expenses”.

Ralph Yirikian also informed that in the nearest future the company does not plan to reconsider tariffs for its services, and soon it will launch commercial operation of 3G network.
