VEON Group publishes the annual social responsibility report

VEON Group (headquartered in Amsterdam) has published its annual social responsibility report, which presents VEON’s progress and positive impact on the societies in the countries where the group operates.

Armenia is represented in the report via the “Digital opportunities for school students” program, which was implemented in 2019 in cooperation with the Child Development Foundation. In the framework of the program, leading local experts helped 100 school students in 4 marzes of Armenia learn to use a variety of digital tools to make educational process more efficiently organized.

“We are happy and proud to be a full-fledged member of VEON Group and we fully share the group’s approach to social responsibility. We are certain that the wonderful programs, implemented by Beeline Armenia, will help young people in this country to master modern digital tools, create their own future, and leave their mark,” said Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.

Following the group’s policy, Beeline Armenia implemented digital literacy programs in cooperation with TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and Child Development Foundation, as well as support programs for startups, including Sevan Start Summit (in cooperation with Startup Armenia Foundation), StartHub platform (with Technological Development Center), Beeline Startup Incubator (with Business Angel Network of Armenia - BANA) and Data Science Summer School (with American University of Armenia).
