Siemens to buy Mentor Graphics for USD 4,5 billion

German Siemens will buy American Mentor Graphics for USD 4,5 billion.

Mentor Graphics, which has also had a representation in Armenia since 2008, is a leading company, which offers electronics and software solutions. It offers professional consultation and provides services to the world’s most renowned companies in the sphere of electronics and semiconductors. Mentor Graphics, which was founded in 1981, registered revenue of USD 1,18 billion last year.

Siemens remarked in its announcement that the acquisition of Mentor Graphics will contribute to the implementation of their strategy until 2020, which includes expansion of opportunities for software support in industrial sector.
