Ask On’Fly app will help find all nearby objects – places to hang out, high-quality and affordable clothing stores, etc. – in a new environment.
This Android-based app was developed by programmer Minas Keshishyan and business marketing expert Davit Khachatryan within “MIC Acceleration” program.
Minas Keshishyan and Davit Khachatryan told Itel.am that the idea of the app occurred to them last December when they decided to take part in the program organized by Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia.
It took three weeks to develop Ask On’Fly. However, the authors noted it will be regularly updated and will be armed with new functions.
Touching upon suchlike apps in the market, Minas Keshishyan stressed: “For example, you can find places on Foursquare but it does not mention everything. You might find a clothing store which offers high prices or low-quality clothes. And it is likely, there is another store, just 10 meters from there, which Foursquare does not mention. Ask On’Fly will help find the second, more suitable one, upon the recommendation of the locals”.
The app allows to ask questions in any language; at the moment, however, the interface, is only in English. Ask On’Fly also allows to see the questions asked by other users at your preferred radius. To ask a question, users should sign in the app via their Facebook – once you ask the question the app will mention your exact geographical location.
Ask On’Fly developers are planning to introduce the app in the international market.
